Sourced from the Monteblanco farm in Huila, Colombia, Golden Hour stands out with its distinct melon aroma — even before grinding. Through the carefully applied “Citrullus Washed” process, the beans are co-fermented with fruits like melon and watermelon, allowing them to absorb their natural sweetness and fragrance. The result is a vibrant and fruit-forward cup.
At first sip, you’ll notice the clear sweetness of ripe melon, complemented by the refreshing lift of mint and the woodsy richness of maple syrup. Underlying notes of mango and banana support the cup’s complexity with a gentle balance. A medium acidity and light-to-medium body allow the flavours to shine clearly. The finish leaves a lingering touch of melon and caramelised sweetness on the palate.
About the Producer:
Monteblanco is a family-run farm located at 1,730 metres above sea level in southwestern Colombia. Managed by Rodrigo Sanchez, the farm benefits from volcanic soil and a unique microclimate that contributes to its refined and expressive cup profiles.
The cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness, fermented with select fruits, then washed and dried on raised beds. This meticulous process enhances clarity and brings out the natural fruit characteristics of the coffee.
