Grown at Monteblanco Farm in Colombia’s Huila region, this Purple Caturra is processed using the Passion Fruit Washed method. Distinct notes of passion fruit are complemented by apricot and ripe plum. Its medium body and smooth, syrupy texture bring together tropical fruit sweetness with a clean and balanced cup. The tropical fruit character lingers through a long, clean finish.

About the Producer:
Monteblanco is a family-run farm managed by Rodrigo Sánchez Valencia in Colombia’s Huila region. The region’s volcanic soils and distinctive microclimate play an important role in shaping the character of the coffees grown on the farm.

During harvest, ripe coffee cherries are selectively hand-picked. The Passion Fruit Washed method involves a controlled fermentation process that preserves the clean character of washed coffees while bringing tropical fruit aromas to the forefront. Following fermentation and washing, the beans are dried on raised beds. This process highlights the aromatic potential of the Purple Caturra variety, resulting in a clear, balanced cup with an intense tropical fruit character.
